On September 14th, 2019 the Lone Star Wing Stearman was at the Bluebonnet Airsho in Burnet, TX - hosted by the Highland Lakes Squadron of the CAF.
This is the longest trip of 2019 for the LSW, and the flight went well. Cols Page and Cobb boarded the airplane in the early afternoon on September 13th and flew to Mexia, TX for fuel. From there they continued to Burnet. The trip was beautiful and uneventful. The LSW Stearman, #23, ran great the entire time. The Highland Lakes Squadron were great hosts, giving us a rental car and putting us up at a local hotel. Their hospitality was top-notch!
Great weather prevailed the day of the show and the Stearman looked great in the trainer parade and on static display.
