Hello!
Once again, thank you so much for the support on our ride days in May, June, and July. Your support has enabled us to stay on budget for 2020. There is no way that happens without you coming out to support us. It was an honor to fly with all of you.
As the temperatures increase around East Texas, we usually stand-down (as does the regional airshow season...even in a "normal" year). As such, we won't have any ride days planned for August or September. However, we are planning to do a local fly-over in August 14th, 2020 in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of VJ Day. Weather permitting, our flight will depart from Marshall, TX at 9:00 AM on the 14th of August. The planned route takes us over Gladewater, Gilmer, Henderson, Carthage, and Longview. Please keep your ears and eyes open for our bright yellow PT-17 and join us in celebrating a turning point in the fight for freedom and liberty in our world.
We are planning to accomplish some minor maintenance tasks on the Stearman during our downtime. If you'd like to come out and meet us, let us know at lonestarwingcaf@gmail.com . With the current COVID-associated restrictions in place, we can't have a crowd at the hangar, but we'd love to hear from you and we may be able to make a way for you to come out and meet us and see the airplane. If the restrictions get lifted, then all the better. No matter what, drop us a line at our email so we know you are interested in coming out to visit and we'll keep in touch and make a way for that to happen as we can.
